Singapore based Casual Danger are a ‘collective that aims to translate creativity into activism and sound into movement’. We very much like the sound of that. They have an Asia-centric focus, aiming to showcase the best acts from the region’s pool of talent, alongside occasional and carefully chosen international guests.

For this episode they make in inspired selection, welcoming LA party-starter and highly accomplished DJ Alison Swing.

Alison has dedicated herself to the craft and exploration of sounds that can make a body move. She is a co-founder and resident DJ of Dig Deeper, the LA party series in-the-know locals flock to that pushes warm house, euphoric disco, Scandinavian beats, romantic techno, and everything in between—the weirder and funkier, the better. Now based in Berlin, she’s been touring extensively in recent months, and the Casual Danger crew are super happy to be able to host her.

Broadcast live on WNYU 89.1FM in New York City on November 13th, 2018. https://soundcloud.com/alisonswing http://www.beatsinspace.net/playlists/964 http://www.facebook.com/bisradio http://beatsinspace.bandcamp.com BIS Hotline: 646-481-8189

Our introduction to her music came in the form of this superb guest mix she recorded for New York’s preeminent Beats In Space Radio. The set is something of a wild ride, incorporating a fluid and nuanced combination of dream house, disco, freaky synth textures and heavy, jacking rhythms. We absolutely love it and, if it’s anything to go by, it seems highly likely that she’ll rock the shit out of Safe Room.

Support on the night from Sunju Hargun, Seelie and Outfit. Full Event info here
