Safe Room's sterling efforts to provide a space for high-quality international artists from the esoteric underground show no signs of abating. This time they collaborate with Music Makes Me High and Final Frontier to bring London based Jacek ‘Mytron’ Janiszewski to the party.

Along with In Flagranti’s Sasa Crnobrnja, Jacek records as Mytron & Ofofo, and the duo have released on some of the hottest labels of the age, including Multi Culti, Bordello A Parigi, and Razor N Tape. Their music isn’t easy to pin down but floats somewhere between disco-funk, world music and experimental electro.

Since moving from Holland to SE London, Mytron has thrived in the vibrant Peckham scene and all of his collaborative productions are as impressive as they are diverse. From the idiosyncratic synth lines of ‘Crickets-Archipeligian Impressions’ to the driving cosmic groove of ‘Aircraft One’, his work is full of nuance and personality. After some deliberation, we decided to play you the fantastically quirky, mid-tempo bass journey of ‘2Tac Onana’, which featured on the ‘Si Jambo’ EP. Exotic, spaced-out and undeniably contagious, the track subtly bubbles and builds over sparse percussion, laced with its strangely catchy vocal.

This is another excellent booking for in-the-know Bangkok music lovers. Support from local hero and ever so aptly named Boogie G, alongside accomplice Tristan Kino.
