Que Sakamoto is a hard working DJ. His touring exploits have seen him forge a formidable reputation on the freaky disco underground, helped, too, by releases on Not An Animal, Roam, and To Rack & Ruin.

He’s flexed his sound via sets on radio stations including Red Light in Amsterdam and Living Room in Zurich, and — back home in Tokyo — he founded club night ‘Huit Etoiles’ at Vent in the super-hip Omote-Sando neighbourhood. His parties have featured leading lights from the disco world, including Crazy P, Sean Johnston (Aflos), Moscoman, Khidja, Zombies in Miami, and Simple Symmetry. He lands at Safe Room following shows in Miami, Hawaii, Chicago, and New York.

Joining him on the console will be our regular contributor, Rocco Universal. Fresh from signing an EP of original cosmic disco productions to London-based label Midnight Riot, and in the midsts of a packed gig schedule, global adventurer Rocco will serve his trademark blend of curve-balls and dancing jams, infused with soon-to-be-released material.

Also on duty is Bangkok resident, Jirus. Part of the MELA family, rising star Jirus also curates his own ‘Youngjamena’ night, and his performances have brought him a breakthrough status in Bangkok's steamy underground.

Safe Room remains one of our favourite spots in Bangkok. Rich sound, perfect layout and eccentric crowd. This is one to look forward to for lovers of cutting edge underground sounds from across the board.

Warm, unpretentious vibes all night.

Safe Room Presents Que Sakamoto, Rocco Universal, and Jirus on Saturday March 14 from 9pm-3am. Full info right here
