Tensnake to flex at to Kilo Lounge SG and Sing Sing BK
The prolific German producer brings his unique flavours to Singapore on Saturday 17th August and follows up in Bangkok on 21st of the same month.
Marco Niemerski - better known as Tensnake - had been steadily releasing high-grade disco and boogie inspired jams for a good few years before exploding into the dance community’s consciousness. He did so with his 2009 release ‘In The End (I Want You To Cry)’, which contained the Balearic cross-over love-bomb ‘Holding Back My Love’ - which still gets rotations to this day in our ends.
Following that, he delivered a stream of best-sellers, from the main room powerhouse of ‘Coma Cat’, to his highly emotive revision of Toby Tobias’ ‘In Your Eyes’, and has remixed a glut of artists, including mainstream acts Aloe Blacc, Goldfrapp, Little Dragon, Lana Del Rey, and London Grammar. He’s worked with labels including Running Back, Permanent Vacation, Endless Flight, and his own True Romance.
He seems to have a knack for infectious melody and heartwarming harmony, and as such he’s one of few artists who manages to successfully skirt the line between commercial and underground music with his credibility intact. We have many favourites from his back catalogue, from 2008’s dreamy and genuinely beautiful ‘Congolal’, to the inspired vocal sampling of 2016’s ‘Desire’.
Kilo Lounge offer up another top-drawer booking for Singapore residents, who seem to be getting spoiled with musical delights these days. Full Event info for their event can be found here.
And Bangkokians only have to wait a few more days to catch him at Sing Sing Theatre. Event details for that one right here.
